MOT

It is a compulsory requirement in the UK to have a valid MOT on all cars that are older than 3 years. An MOT Test must be carried out every year to ensure that your car meets the minimum safety and eviromental requirements to be able to drive legally on UK Roads. Driving your car without an MOT is Illegal and may result in legal prosecution.

The MOT can be completed on the vehicle at any time before the expiry date but in order to preserve your existing expiry date, you will need to take your MOT test up to 1 month (minus a day) before it runs out. To find out if your vehicle has a valid MOT and when your next MOT test is due, you can check the government website.
